Thirsty Thursday: Hydrating Oatmeal Mask

Hi beauties !

HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!! Celebrate yourself tonight and pamper yourself with this super hydrating face mask. It’s quick, easy and made from only three simple inexpensive household ingredients.

Like I mentioned in prior beauty blog posts, skin needs a little extra love during the winter months. My skin specifically gets more dry than usual once temperatures drop. This mask recipe will not only hydrate your skin but it can help reduce acne and skin inflammation. If your skin isn’t dry that’s okay because this mask is suitable for ALL skin types. Oatmeal is a two faced ingredient because it moisturizes dry skin but also helps dry out excessive oily skin.

This mask consist of oatmeal, milk and cinnamon. I also like to add orange essential oil because of the great skin benefits but mostly because it helps with the winter blues and let’s not forget it smells AMAZING AF! I listed out the benefits for each ingredient along with the recipes below.

ENJOY & QUENCH YOUR THIRST!

Don’t be shy & drop a line!

XOXO,

JAY

Hydrating oatmeal Face Mask Recipe

You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons oats
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 drops of orange essential oil (OPTIONAL)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Apply mixture to your face for 15-20 minutes.

***Tip: Make sure to lay on a flat surface with a towel under your chin & around your face because in the beginning the mixture is on the wet side so it may drip off your face. After a few minutes it will begin to harden on your skin.***
