Product Review: Purlisse Skincare

I been extremely busy lately and haven’t had much time to write. I received beauty products from Purlisee and as I promised on my Instagram, I am reviewing them right here! Special thanks to Purlisse for sending me all these goodies!

Purlisee was created by a former actress who wanted to restore her complexion and confidence after wearing lots of makeup on set. She created Purlisse with the intention of incorporating her grandmother’s Asian beauty secrets. I love when brands contain home remedies and cultural influences. I also wanted to point out that the team at Purlisse was so kind and even included a handwritten note in my box which I thought was so sweet. It’s the little things that count, you know?

Peep that cute note!

  1. Purlisse Coconut + Rice Sheet Mask (6-pack: $36)- I LOVED THIS MASK! The coconut aspect present in this mask helps nourish and hydrate your skin. The rice ingredient helps brighten up your skin and help you achieve a glow. The directions say to apply to a clean face, leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes and then massage the residue on your face to allow your skin to really soak up all the benefits. After I used the mask, my skin looked very glowy, dewy, soft and natural. The only thing I would suggest is doing the mask before bed because since your not rinsing off the excess product, your face may feel sticky. Once I woke up in the morning, all the product was absorbed and my cheek felt like silk- no joke! It also smells delicious. The smell reminds me of a caribbean vacation. Definitely repurchasing the these sheet masks in the future and I also am curious to try their Green Tea + Vitamin C masks !IMG_3111
  2. Purlisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer ($20)– Before Purlisee shipped me these goodies, they asked me what kind of skin I have so that they could send me appropriate products for my skin. I told them I have dry and sensitive skin so they sent me this moisturizer. I liked this moisturizer but I choose to wear it alone and during the day my skin started producing excess oil. I then wore it with a dryer/matte foundation on top and it was much better. It did help with my redness. During the day, I tend to get redness around my T-zone. This moisturizer helped control my redness and unevenness which I loved. My favorite thing about this product is that it’s free of animal cruelty, parabens, phthalates and fragrance. Did I mention the Vitamin E ingredient helps prevent fine lines & wrinkles?! So overall, this is a good moisturizer if your skin is very very dry or you have dry skin and your trying to wear matte foundation without looks chalky. I will only wear this under matte foundations.
  3. Purlisse BB Tinted Moisturizer Cream ($35) – I never wear BB creams because I usually just go bare face or I wear medium weight foundation. There is no in-between for me. lol. This BB cream was gifted it in the shade medium which I thought was going to be too dark but once I put it on it was the correct shade for my skin. It didn’t make me look orange at all and the match was perfect! This product is really dewy and hydrating so be cautious of wearing it with the moisturizer. The first time I tried it, I used it with the Purlisse moisturizer mentioned above and it made my face too oily. The second time, I wore this product alone and it was much better. I loved how it didn’t contain a smell like some BB creams do and it was very lightweight to touch. Best of all it didn’t make me breakout at all which is a brownie points on my list because I have such sensitive skin. This product is also free of animal cruelty, parabens and phthalates. Just like the moisturizer, it helps reduce fine lines & wrinkles! Yay for young looking skin!

I’m planning on ordering all the other sheet masks from Purlisse very soon. Special thanks to Purlisse for giving me the opportunity to review their wonderful products!

Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about these products or if you have tried any Purlisse products and want to share your thoughts on them.

Don’t be shy & drop a line!
